I read a very interesting book a few months ago, "Happy Money" and despite my contentious love/hate relationship with the self development industry it taught be alot of things about the value of time. And especially HOW much I was blind to it.

After reading a few chapters, i definitely felt an inner inspiration occur that changed the ways I conducted my habits in regards to making money and spending money. I kept blue money for positive days, and red money for super futuristic investments (think Blade Runner 2049 hahaha) and it really made me think about the value of the products and software I was building and what I wanted people to like about it.

So if you could design another currency besides digital currency (bitcoin, etc) what would it be?

What a thought provoking post and what a book recommendation. Happy Money has been on my list for a while and you have just moved it to the top.

The blue money and red money system you described is genuinely fascinating to me from a mindset and coaching perspective. What you have essentially done is create a physical psychological anchor for different categories of intention around money. The colour distinction forces a conscious decision every time — am I spending this with presence and gratitude or am I investing this toward a future vision? Most people move money around without either of those two states of awareness. You built a system that makes both unavoidable.

To answer your question — if I could design another currency it would be what I would call Time Tokens. Non transferable, non storable, issued fresh each morning in equal amounts to every human being on the planet regardless of wealth, status, or circumstance. The only currency where a billionaire and a student genuinely start each day with exactly the same balance. You cannot save them, inherit them, or steal them. You can only spend them — and every morning the question becomes the same for everyone. What is this worth spending today on? That currency would change everything about how human beings relate to each other and to their own lives.

Haha, pretty cool Time Tokens, it reminds me alot of the movie "In Time" actually with Justin Timberlake where the underclass with less time tokens live in the slums and the overlords are essentially vampires with unlimited time.

Pretty cool concept about the time tokens being given to each member of society individually. Haha, what happens when the groups start creating hegemonies and bullying individuals into using their tokens for the collective?

Communistic and Capitalistic debates are always interesting.
